We Grew Lords Supply Email Revenue by over 15,000% With a Branded Email Marketing Overhaul
When I reached out to the team at Lords Supply, they were keen to enhance email, and said they'd been trying to fit it in for a while, but it usually got pushed to the bottom of the list (very common), so, we got to work!

The Challenge
Lords had a strong personal brand and founders people already knew and trusted. They'd had cafes open for years, and a large social media presence. They'd also just been through a rebrand, so the visual identity was ready to go. The problem was their emails weren't keeping up with the quality across the rest of the marketing.
They were building everything inside Klaviyo without much design support, which meant the emails looked generic and didn't reflect the brand they'd worked hard to build. On top of that, their flows had some setup errors causing customers to receive the same marketing content on repeat, which is a fast way to burn trust and increase unsubscribes.
The Strategy
1. On Brand Design
The team had spent time and money on a rebrand, so we made sure their emails actually looked like them. Instead of working within Klaviyo's default drag and drop limitations, we built custom templates that showcased their new visual identity and leaned into their founder-led story.
2. Copy That Sounded Like Them
Every brand has a voice already, our job is just to bring it into email. We wrote copy that matched how Lords actually sounds, and made sure branded keywords were front and centre to keep things feeling unique and relevant to them specifically.
3. Fixed Automation Errors
We audited the existing flows and found subscribers were getting looped into marketing emails they'd already converted from, right after buying a subscription product. We fixed the logic so customers get the right message at the right time, not the same one on repeat.
4. New Branded Flows and Site Pop Up
We introduced new automations and added a popup to grow the list, which gave us more people to nurture and improved conversion rate across email as a whole.
5. Subscription-Based Segmentation
Because Lords Supply sells subscription products, we built segments specifically for subscribers. This let us do two things: exclude them from campaigns that would nudge them toward unsubscribing, and send them tailored content that actually applies to their subscription journey.
The Results
We love a good result, and this one is pretty insane!
- 15,195% increase in revenue compared to the previous year
- 31% of total revenue attributed directly to email

For Lords, this was the classic situation where the founders are juggling operations, marketing and everyday business to-do lists. Email marketing is an essential piece of the digital marketing picture for e-com brands, but if we're being honest, it's not the priority for most business owners. Outsourcing to a team that can handle the nitty gritty for you, is well worth the pay off (if we do say so ourselves).
Lords already had the brand and the audience, so for them, our work was about giving email the same care the rest of their business was getting.
If your emails aren't reflecting the brand you've built, we'd love to help. Contact us today at hq@ranamedia.au and we'll see what we can do for you!
